CONTEXT
Instarmac Group is a property developer in the Malaysian Borneo state of Sarawak. It brings together the best of different expertise, experiences and perspectives to shape meaningful places for the local community. It was about to embark on its most ambitious mixed development project to-date.
CHALLENGE
Realising that an existing development plan had neither strong differentiation nor strong ability to make value-add impact to the local property and lifestyle market, the client had decided to re-articulate its development and retail brand, as well as to rethink its architecture and retail plans.
SOLUTION
Having conducted market survey and brand articulation sessions with stakeholders, the insights were advanced to identity design, place design and retail planning.  The proposed TAMU promises to reinterpret the local scene in Sarawak, planned for optimal consumer experience and cost effectiveness. It is both a mixed development and a retail brand with a blend of local culture and international contemporary flair, set to be a game-changing destination in Kuching.
