CONTEXT
Located at the pristine Ke Ga Bay in the Binh Thuan province and overlooking the South China Sea, the Princess D’Annam Resort & Spa in Vietnam is the first all-villa luxury boutique resort in the country.
CHALLENGE
The resort prides itself as a continuation of the country’s rich culture and tradition. Its namesake is based on a story of an ancient princess whose hand in marriage was given in exchange for a bountiful piece of the Vietnamese kingdom. Therefore, the traditional character of the old Vietnam has to be reinterpreted in the identity of this new hotel.
SOLUTION
The identity design of the hotel are skewed to signify the inherent grace and hospitality of the Vietnamese people, as well as the luxury of being the “guest of the Princess”. The authenticity is balanced with simplicity in the design language resulting in an identity system that is at once practical and unique.
