CONTEXT
Founded in 1992, the Malaysian Retailer-Chains Association (MRCA) was a bid to create a supportive environment where Malaysian chain retailers could pool resources together and harness the power in networking opportunities in order to expand their business. Presently, the association has 200 leading retail chain store operators and franchisors in their member roster, covering more than 10,000 outlets in Malaysia.
CHALLENGE
In conjunction with its 21st anniversary, the client desired an update of their logo with a visual identity that reflects their current status as one of the most influential bodies in creating opportunities for growth for Malaysian chain retailers and franchisors.
SOLUTION
With this in mind, we developed a new visual identity to communicate their strong sense of unity and role as a pillar of support for Malaysian retailer chains, as well as their solid presence in the industry. The new identity retained key elements from the old logo such as its primary colour, while exuding modernity and boldness in the simplicity of the design.
