We were once again invited to speak on branding strategy and retail brand experience, this time it was at the Future Stores Asia conference, held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC), Kuala Lumpur.

Lead brand strategist Kian Ong of Thinkscape Group spoke on the fundamentals of retail brand clarity, and how brand positioning and ideas could be translated into meaningful brand experiences to be encountered by customers. In his sharing, Kian stressed on the importance of explicit brand clarity in the shaping of retail locations. Each store can be a unique, authentic “brand destination” that cannot be replicated online or offline, and in the process, elevating trust and affinity which allows the business to command a premium.


The annual Future Stores Asia conference and a parallel event, Retail Solutions Asia at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre were part of a two-day regional event for retail industry decision-makers, executives and professionals. Held from 24-25 Sept, it was organised by JFPS Group.
